AHDRA Alamo City Nationals San Antonio, Tx Sept 11&12, 2010
San Antonio was very hot, 95+ degrees with 60% humidity, track temp was 138 degrees! In spite of the terrible weather, Vikki dialed the Destroyer in perfectly qualifying #1 in Super Gas with a 9.7012 on a 9.70 index. During Sunday eliminations, she went 4 rounds and into the finals to end with the runner up trophy.
Bill was able to obtain a 6.90 Nitro license on the new Pro Drag bike and actually qualified 6th out of 9 bikes while licensing. His best pass was an 8.01. In the first round of eliminations, he got paired up with Scott Truett (who we bought the bike from just 3 weeks earlier). He ended up going out first round, but had a lot of fun learning to ride the that nitro bike.

AHDRA Northwest Nationals - Woodburn Oregon Aug. 28&29, 2010
The weather in Oregon was such a relief from the week before in Wichita KS and the bikes were running very good. Vikki qualified #6 in Super Gas as we struggled to slow her down (one of her passes in Test and Tune was a 9.39 with the throttle stop on!) She was not able to slow down enough during eliminations and went out first round running a 9.617.
Bill qualified #2 in Pro Stock, running a career best 8.16 @ 157mph, however he too went out first round, loosing traction and slipping the tire at the line. With both of us going out first round, we were kind of lost as that hasn't happend in quite a while but I guess that is why they call it "going racing" instead of "going winning".

39th Annual Truett & Osborn Fun Drags - Wichita KS Aug. 21&22, 2010
For years we had heard how much fun these races were and we were due for some fun so off we went. The heat and humidity just about got us but we were glad to be there anyway. Vikki was running in Open ET faster than 11.50, a ton of bikes in this class. Bill was running Top Gas Push Rod. Vikki went 2 rounds of eliminations before breaking out for going too fast on a 9.60 dial.
Bill qualified #1 with a 8.45 but went out first round when the dead man kill switch wire broke during the burn out.
The biggest part of this race (that we will never forget) is buying Scott Truett's yellow Pro Drag Bike and Bill making his first pass on a Nitro Bike! We would like to thank Scott, Dale, and Julian & Roberta for all their help and recommend this race to anyone who has never been to it before.

Top Gas Winner!!
This was a one-night race with eliminations directly after qualifying: very fast turnaound, luckily John Stover from MMI showed up to help.
Friday night was test and tune with Bill & Vikki only making one pass each. Sat. qualifying started at 6 P.M. Vikki was running in Super Bike 9.50 index and Bill was running in Top Gas 8.20 index.
After 3 rounds, Vikki was qualified 3rd and Bill was qualified 2nd. The bikes were having a hard time making horse power as the altitude and temp were high and humidity low (only 6%) –corrected altitude was 8,283 feet!
Eliminations came quickly after qualifying - the Destroyer just could not run a 9.50 and the competition could so Vikki went out early. Bill advanced to the finals and won but no time from the timing system, so they had to run it again. Bill won it twice in a row to take home the Top Gas win!

Sunday Eliminations
Bobby - 11.5 index SEP - Broke out by going too fast in the first round. ET - went 2 rounds before breaking out in Screaming Eagle Performance (SEP)
Vikki - 9.7 index SG: went out in the first round running a 9.688 on the 9.7 dial in.
Bill - PS (Pro Stock): - advanced to the finals against National record holder Andy Simon of Simon's Competition ending with runner up. Bill was a little quicker off the line (.022 to his .060) but not quite fast enough to take the stripe.
